Last year around April 15th, we decided to give two lucky readers a fabric refund instead of a tax refund (though we all like those too). This year the bin of prints has been depleted recently with scrap packs but the solids bin is overflowing. We stock over 100 Kona solids now and there's a rainbow of goodness that needs a loving home. Do you see where this is going?
ENTER TO WIN:
Two winners will be chosen - one US winner will receive a Medium Flat Rate Box filled with Kona solids; one international winner will receive a Flat Rate Envelope filled with solids.
Leave a comment telling us your favorite Kona color and/or your favorite way to use solids. (If you could tell us if you're overseas, that will make the sorting of winners easier. Thanks.)
Make sure we can get in touch with you! If you're a no-reply from blogger, please include your email address.
Giveaway ends Sunday, April 15th at noon EST. Good Luck!
Wow, what a giveaway! My favourite Kona solid is cactus, right now anyway. My favourite way to use them is every stinkin' way possible!
ReplyDeleteI'm in Canada :-)
Love them all, but Grass green is my favorite. I am making lots of baby quilt now and use the soft pastel solids along with prints. Thanks for a chance to win.
ReplyDeleteI love Kona cerise. I love purple, so that is a natural fit for me. I use in bindings a lot. My favorite way to use solids is . . . for just about anything. But I do almost always use a Kona solid for quilt bindings.
ReplyDeleteI am not sure I have a favorite Kona color...I like using all of them...they seem to mix well with whatever project I am working on...It is nice to have quality colors...solids that is...to mix with the great fabrics u sell...
ReplyDeletethank you
Lori Holmes
If you had asked me a week ago I would have said that my favorite was was Clover.
ReplyDeleteBut Cyan has recently taken the #1 spot.
I love using half Konas and half prints in a quilt. Or making an all solids mini.
I love Kona Snow and use it as my go-to neutral, but I really want to get my hands on Kona Ash. I have just used solids to spotlight my prints, but I want to do a guilt with all solids.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the wonderful giveaway - I think this is my favorite giveaway technique ever! I don't get a tax refund, so a fabric refund would be wonderful!!
I love all the pinks that they have, but especially the Woodrose. I am making an "almost" Amish quilt using a variety of the Kona solids with the Kona black. Love this fabric!
ReplyDeleteSandy A
This is an AMAZING giveaway! I want to make a swoon quilt out of solids so this is perfect. Clover is my favorite! Thank you for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteI love Kona Pepper! I'm in Canada.
ReplyDeleteSo fun, thanks for a great giveaway! My favorite Kona color is probably Papaya! Such a yummy gold/yellow! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat giveaway!! I love Kona cottons, my favorite is Spring...any of the greens.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win!!! I am in the
U.S.
What a wonderful giveaway! Currently my favorite Kona is Azure...so pretty! Thanks for the chance!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite color is Kona Bahama Blue! It certainly looks like the water in the Bahamas!
ReplyDeleteI love green tea, it's so calming and looks awesome with a huge range of colours :)
ReplyDeleteI'm overseas - fern@aislingmilis.com
waves* Hi Fern!
DeleteOoh, excellent! I'm a Kona Grass enthusiast.
ReplyDelete(U.S.!)
I want to say, I never use enough solids...always prints. I purchased a end piece of kona ash and it is so nice!! I'd love to have some of these solids to try and incorporate into my quilts as I really don't use enough. I had no idea actually there were so many choices of colors. Thanks for the chance.

ReplyDeleteWow! I love color. I just love it! You know, for about a year I've been reading blogs and have been introduced to the wonderful world of fabric, but have yet to get any Kona solids! I have been looking through the colors, what a difficult decision! I think my favorite is Lagoon, but I like Black, Cerise, Mulberry, Charcoal, and Navy, too! Poor navy, it doesn't get favored much, does it? Anyway, I'm a US reader. Thanks for the chance!
ReplyDeleteGreat giveaway! I forgot to say what is my favourite color. Love ash but also any yellow!
ReplyDeleteI love Azure, but Kona Ash is my go-to lately. I love it mixed with colorful prints! Thanks for this great giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI am in love with so many of the kona colors, but some of my favorites atm are cerise, coral, cactus, and candy green. I also love the basics like snow, ash, and charcoal too. :) Thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteI love Kona Ash! It goes so well with other colors and prints!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win!
Honestly, PLAIN OLD WHITE. It goes with most everything, and is great to have on hand for spontaneous projects. Although, I do love ash and pale flesh too. :) (USA)
ReplyDeleteEu uso sólidos para hexágonos e outros papéis,sou viciada nisso.O branco é o meu fundamental, mais gosto de fazer miolos amarelos.Sou do Brasileira. .tiacarminhapezzuto@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteI would love to win some Kona Medium Grey. It would be a great background color for blocks on a modern quilt. Thanks for the chance to win. I'm in Ohio, USA.
ReplyDeleteHoly fabric goodness! I love so many kona fabrics: coal, banana, snow, marine, nightfall......
ReplyDeleteI'm a Canadian.
I love kona cerise! Awesome giveaway, thanks!
ReplyDeleteKona Medium Grey and I are besties. I'm in Canada - thanks for a great giveaway!
ReplyDeleteThis is tough! I really love Ash and Cerise. I guess if forced to choose, I'd go with Ash because it goes so well with so many fabrics! I really love all solids quilts! I don't make many because they show every single flaw, but when done well, they are stunning!
ReplyDeleteI'm from the US. :) And what a great idea for a giveaway!
ReplyDeleteThere's no way I could possibly pick ONE favorite color, so I'll have to go with your other prompt. My favorite way to use solids was sprinkled in with some prints to add a little zest to my quilts. However, there have been so many gorgeous all solid quilts lately, that I am planning to give one of those a shot this month!
Thank you so much for the chance to win such a great prize!
My current Kona love is Peridot; it somehow matches so much!!
ReplyDeleteI use at least 1 solid in almost all of my quilts. I really love using solids to separate my prints and make them pop.
I'm international reader! I loved Kona peony. I love pink recently.
ReplyDeleteI think coral has to be my favorite for the time being. I just love them all so much.
ReplyDeleteKona Snow is by far my favorite but I try to get a new shade of green each time I replenish my Snow.
ReplyDeleteYou really want me to pick one?? How about Pond tonight. I really feel a solids quilt in the making.
ReplyDeleteI'm still a newbie at this quilting thing, so I don't have much of a solids stash at all. As in, I have my LQS own brand in white and that's it. But I use it in practically every project - HSTs, sashing, borders. Always buy it in a couple of metres at a time when it's on sale so I always have a supply!
ReplyDelete(Overseas follower here!)
Oh, tomato and herb. Solids always come in handy, it all depends on the project. Sometimes I want a solid exterior for a coin purse/purse, or vise versa. Thanks for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteMelon, Pomegranate and Robin Egg are my current favorites. I like them for accents and sashing blocks.
ReplyDeleteThanks! You rock!
My current favorite is cerise. I love using kona solids in quilts, pillows, and pouches. Love them!
ReplyDeleteHere in Norway, it is not so common to use solids in the quilt. But after reading Oh Franssons blog, I'm ready to do something about it. I have bought Kona's swap map. So far, I have only used Kona snow white, but I'd like to use Kona Crocus in a project
ReplyDeleteI love EGGPLANT. And I love to use solids in my quilts!
ReplyDeleteKona snow for me! Thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteI love all the purples but my favourite is amethyst as that is both my children's birthstone.
ReplyDeleteI love to use solids to make patterned fabric POP.
I am international.
I looooove using solids - they make an appearance in all my quilts. My favorite at the moment is carribean but I have quite a stash of solids thanks to your awesome bundles :o)
ReplyDeleteInternational follower here too!
I'm in the US. My favorite Kona solid is Ash but I need to get daring and try something new. Thanks for a chance to win.
ReplyDeleteI love Kona snow and would also use Kona ash. But seeing all this great quilts made from solids lately are definitely inspiring me to use more of them.
ReplyDeleteI am also an international follower. Thanks so much!
I have only started using solids much very recently. I don't think I have a favorite COLOR color - but my favorite neutral so far is Ash. I've used it for sashing and in a quilt that's 50-50 solid with prints - Ash really make everything stand out without being as white as Kona Snow (2nd most used).
ReplyDeleteWow, hard to say. I just love fabric...and color...so, yeah. But I think maybe Buttercup, because I'm on a yellow kick. And I have this rainbow idea mixing lighter prints with darker solids that is percolating in my head...
ReplyDeleteI tend to over print my quilts; solids give the eye a chance to rest and I've learned to put more into my projects and I love using them to frame blocks to make them pop; my favorite Kona is Coffee...I'm not a black fan but Coffee gives me the darkness I need and really makes tans and khaki fabrics more detailed.
ReplyDeleteI'm in the USA.

Kona has the best skin-tones around that don't let other prints show through. I love using solids in my pictorial applique quilts, and my stash is woefully short of them right now!
ReplyDeleteWow! What a great giveaway! I love Kona colours ... I have different faves depending on the project ... increasingly I find I'm booting out the prints and going for more solids!!
ReplyDeleteI would use them for some improv curve piecing ... something I'd love to try ...
I love Kona Ash-- so incredibly versatile, truly a transformative color! I'm in Sweden.
ReplyDeleteWOW, what a fantastic giveaway
ReplyDeleteWhat colour - gosh that's not fair, there are way too many great colours
At present I'm considering solids to show off some batiks - one would be autumn toned, one purples and one teal - so colour choices would probably be Amber, Hibicus or Dark Violet and Teal Blue
I'm wanting to create quilts using Jenny's (Sew Kind of Wonderful) curved ruler
I am overseas - In Sri Lanka - and would love to be counted in. My favourite plain colors would be lime green and pink!
ReplyDeletemystica123athotmaildotcom
I am such a wimp with solids, I seem to buy cream or white for backgrounds. I have some black and grey given to me by a friend and haven't got a clue how to use it, but I really want to try to. Maybe if I won this I would lose my fear of using something other than cream and white! Thanks for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI've used a ton of Kona ash, but am now favouring charcoal for the negative spaces in a quilt. Otherwise just about any Kona in a bright colour is trying to make a home in my stash. You can never have enough!
ReplyDeleteI am in the UK. Thanks for the chance in this great giveaway.
I like white/cream, red, green and lilac and I often use solids to put between blocks in many colors.
ReplyDeleteI'm from Sweden.
I love School Bus. I am a nervous solids user - but really want to try some improv with a wide variety!
ReplyDeleteI'm in the UK - thanks for the chance ladies x
My favourite is Fern but snow is the one I use most!
ReplyDeleteI'm in the UK
I love the shades of grey as they are so versatile with different prints. Thanks for giving some away, I'm in the UK.
ReplyDeleteI am from the UK! I love Cerise at the moment and am using it as the border on a very brightly coloured scrappy quilt! But Pomegranate is another favourite! Or Cactus, or ....you make me choose, so cruel...
ReplyDeleteThanks for giving away!
Hi what a great give a way. My favorite color is snow and I use it for everything that calls for white cause it is great to work with. I use many other solids in Kona also.
ReplyDeleteI have a soft spot for their blues and greays but it is really, really difficult to pick just one favourite. Forced to I will say Coal because the grey has such a depth in it unlike other greys.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the great give away. I'm in Denmark so definately oversees :)
Only one?to star, ash, theie green,pink,blues...thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteOh I love solids and love doing solids only projects for modern quilts and swaps. My fave colour is.... Coal for a grat background to make colours pop. I love Pomegranate, aqua, and chartreuse too! I am in Ireland :-)
ReplyDeleteI love all of the purples! Sorry I can't pick one. I must admit I have not used Kona at all, but have been thinking more and more about them. Maybe on my next order I will include a few and get a idea of what they could be used for.
ReplyDeleteI am in the U.K.
I love all the kona colours but my fave is the green range !!!!!
ReplyDeleteI use them for all my projects ... Quilts and every kind of little sewing!!!!
Thanks for the special prize ^__^
My favourite would be the medium grey, I like to use it as a kind of neutral sashing. I'm in Australia.
ReplyDeleteI love Kona Ash, a subtle mid grey that works with my current projects. Grey is the new white and black works with all colours.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway.
I have found Kona Ash to be very versatile so I use it a lot for backgrounds. I haven't tried an all solid quilt yet, but have it on my to-do list. I'm in the US, thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteI haven't used many solids, but I love any shade of purple. Thanks for the chance. I'm from the USA.
ReplyDeleteI'm in the UK! My favourite Kona is cerise. I've just covered my new dining chairs in rainbow colours of Klona solids (our UK poorman's Kona) but my hubby said that bright pink wasn't in the rainbow so I had to leave it out :-(
ReplyDeleteI'm in the uk and I love sea foam :)
ReplyDeleteI've never used solids alone, I usually buy some that coordinate with the fabric I'm using.
ReplyDeleteOh and I love Kona Azure !
Thanks !
(I'm in Canada)
So hard to choose! I'll pick a few and say Grass, Papaya, School Bus, and Cerise. I love solids! USA here...
ReplyDeleteMy current favourite is Ash - I LOVE using it in quilts! I think it makes all my bright prints pop!
ReplyDeleteI'm in Canada!
I just finished and Amish style quilt using all Kona solids, and I loved it, but now I want to try one that uses even more different solid colors. I want to use more variations of the same color so I get more shading from light to dark. I love all the many different shades of each color that Kona has!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite solid staple is coal - my newest used and current favorite kona color is curry - love it with HR dogs on yellow :) Would absolutely be thrilled to end up with a big ol' box of kona solids on my doorstep :)
ReplyDeleteI love Kona Ash - in fact I need some more for a new quilt! But there are sooooooo many great colours so it makes it pretty hard to choose just one. Thanks for the chance.
ReplyDeleteI can never get enough Chinese red, coal, and white. I use them maybe more than I should! Thanks for the chance.
ReplyDeleteI think my current favorite is Kona Sky. I love using solids for anything, but especially in quilts. In fact, solid-only quilts are usually my favorites!
ReplyDeleteI love the Honeydew color! I am going to make new curtains for my bedroom with it. Thank you for a fantastic giveaway!
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorites is Kona Aqua. Have used it again and again. I love mixing solids with large modern prints. It really sets them off!
ReplyDeleteI love using solids as backing and to coordinate with my patterns. I love the Coal grey as a neutral.
ReplyDeleteI love to use solids to enhance the look of prints.
ReplyDeleteI love, love the coral. And I love using the solids to offset fun patterns
ReplyDeleteI love to use prints to enhance my solids! Ha! And kona solids make the best quilt backings. So soft & snuggly!
ReplyDeleteThe Bahama blue is really pretty. I love any of the turquoise-y blue colors!
ReplyDeleteI'm in the US and I LOVE Kona Grey. I recently used it on a 'Swoon' quilt! I just love the modern pop it gives! But really... is there a bad Kona colour... I think not! :)
ReplyDeleteI am always on the lookout for a good true red that is not orange-y. Hope that makes sense!
ReplyDeletegrass green, but i love all of them!
ReplyDeleteI like the deep purples and blues, and actually the names of them too! i am from the UK (:
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love Kona Plum. I like to mix solids with prints in my designs, so I'm constantly looking for coordinating colors. One of my favorite parts of making a quilt is picking a pretty Kona solid for the back!
ReplyDeleteI love to use solids to go with prints for my wristlets and purses in my shop. Right now I am loving so many kona solids but if I had t0 pick one it would be jade. Thanks so much for this chance! ;) <3 from SplashAvenue in the USA. ashley.mathes@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteGreat idea, especially since I'm paying this year (taxes). Fave color as mundane as it sounds is Kona Snow. Because I love the effect of everything up against it. I love the way solids can bring balance to a piece that has a lot going on in the prints by way of color, pattern or intensity. (USA)
ReplyDeleteDang, what a great giveaway! I am spreading the word for you on the During Quiet Time facebook page.
ReplyDeleteEven tho it's spring here now, I'm still in love with Kona Raisin. Oh how I'd love to have this prize. thx for giving me the chance.
ReplyDeletevery nice...i love using solids. Ash is one of my favorite colors to use. i love using solids and tucking in a few prints to keep things interesting
ReplyDeleteI love to sash with kona white or kona coal, it really makes the prints pop :)
ReplyDeleteI am all about Kona Cerise! So pretty!
ReplyDeleteI love to use Kona on all my projects! I mixed them with the prints and at the end a beautiful piece of art. Thanks for this big chance.
ReplyDeleteToday, I am loving Kona medium grey. Thanks for the wonderful giveaway.
ReplyDeletemy favourite kona is Ash!
ReplyDeleteI'm starting to make some baby gifts, so these Kona fabrics would be a great addition! Love the pastels for a baby.
ReplyDeleteI've been on a yellow kick lately, so I think Lemon is my favorite right now. Thanks!!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite color is medium gray...it makes everything else look extra lovely! I created a baby quilt last year to welcome my little one with medium gray, ash, snow, & a few yellows & aqua. My next Kona project is a wall hanging for our stair case. Thanks for this awesome giveaway!
ReplyDelete(i'm in the states :)
I love Kona White!! It's so versatile and goes with everything :) But all the Kona greens rock too!
ReplyDeleteI love the Kona Coral! They're all so pretty and versatile though!
ReplyDeleteGlacier is my favorite!
ReplyDeleteI really like to the Kona white to use as background. Also love all of the greens.
ReplyDeleteI don't necessarily have a favorite color...it just depends on the project I am working on at the time!

ReplyDeleteMy favorite is Ice Frappe but I certainly love them all!
ReplyDeleteOh my, trying one more time. Wheat is my fav Kona Solid. I've really love using solids when making HSTs. Thanks for a chance. (Canada)
ReplyDeleteI love using solids to frame or as background to then highlight whatever prints I'm using. As for favorite colors, well I love the whole blue-green range and the true oranges like Tangerine.
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm in the good ol' USA
I like the earthy and nature colors like greens, browns, tans, etc. so I can use them in the background of my house blocks. Well, I like to use them in any background I need :) Thanks for the opportunity to win some solids.
ReplyDeleteI just loooove Bahama Blue #1011. This is also one of the colors that I use in my WIP-quilt. It's a hexagon-quilt made out of 1-1/4" big (small??!!) hexagons and is supposed to fit a queen sized bed when it's finished (and I am sooo happy to be more than half way through with that one...)
ReplyDeleteI love using solids in each and every quilt. Most of the new fabric lines have such weird and crazy combinations on colors that I always need some solids in each and every quilt to make it look less busy.
Greetings From godd old Germany!
I love Kona White! It makes all my favorite fabrics pop and goes with everything. I love using Kona's for quilts, clothes, bags, everything!
ReplyDeleteI'm a Kona white girl for the most part. I'm slowly expanding my use of other colors. I'm impressed i'm using Ash, Medium Grey, Coal, etc. Love this idea for a giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI sadly haven't worked too much with solids. A scrap box would be so fun to get me started! I've used white, black, charcoal, and mulberry. I loved the white for the sweetness it added to a recent baby quilt but the black was sure fun when I paired it with neon solids! I used the purple and grey to add some applique animals to another quilt - that was a new try for me and I am addicted! I love solids!
ReplyDeleteMy favourites are celadon (goes with everything) and pomegranate (for some POP). I use them in quilts and bags!
ReplyDeleteGreat giveaway!
(I'm in Canada)
I'm excited to use Ash for my next project! Love solids. Great giveaway. Emilee.Masson@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite Kona colors is lagoon, but I am also loving papaya and pomegranate right now. I love using solids for clutch purses, among other sewing projects, to add bold color!
ReplyDeletektwcraftiness {at} gmail {dot} com
killthemwithcraftiness.blogspot.com
I'm a big fan of Ash, too! It's perfect for quilt bindings and backings. Right now I'm working on an I-spy project that could be finished off with coordinating solids.
ReplyDeletebyrneoverseas@gmail.com (USA)
this is sooo perfect!! I love solids but my stash is so small! I never know which to pick, I love them all!!!lol I love the brights, but use white & ash the most! Thanks!!!
ReplyDeleteSuch an amazing giveaway! I love using Kona greys as background for my quilts when I can get my hands on them.
ReplyDeleteWell, I use a lot of Kona White, Ash, and Khaki, but I LOVE aqua, teak, lemon, sunshine, I could keep going, but I'll stop here... :)
ReplyDeleteI love Slate! But I use all different colors. I love solids only quilts but I also use them for backings and sashings.
ReplyDeletePick just ONE?!? Sheesh. That's asking a lot. ;) I'd have to go with Ash, if I had to pick one, but I love them all.
ReplyDeletechoosing only one color of kona is impossible. i love using solids for liners, backings, and small ways to use some contrast on a small project
ReplyDeleteI make a lot of vintage-styled aprons and often need just the right color for a pocket or trim, and I can count on Kona solids ... just love the variety and range of colors ... not just the tint that is in fashion this week! If I could have only one? Probably tarragon, olive green without the drab ...
ReplyDeleteI love white - perfect for sashing and backgrounds for quilts!
ReplyDeleteI use a lot of white, but I have big plans to use more coal. I'm slowly developing a love for Ash and medium gray as well.
ReplyDeleteLike many others, my favorite neutral is Ash, but my favorite color is Tomato. 2nd favorite is Azure :) I love the solids for backgrounds and sashing :) I have SO few Kona's in my stash, thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteI am loving their medium gray right now. I'm using it on a huge quilt for my bed, it really helps my prints pop and not overwhelm the quilt.
ReplyDeleteThat's just about the hardest question ever! Maybe...Asparagus? Glacier? Lagoon? Too hard to pick!
ReplyDeleteThanks for a great giveaway!
I have never used Kona solids, can you believe it!? Blogger after blogger sings their praises, but I have yet to buy any and give them a try. I'd love to have a chance! I love to use solids when quilting, so the eye can rest among the prints.
ReplyDeleteIt's so hard to choose one favourite colour. I'm just finishing my second all solids wavy quilt made with a beautiful aqua/turquoise/green bundle including a rather difficult but very interesting Seafoam. I also used some neutral colours for sashing/negative space in some other quilts (mainly Bone and Coal).
ReplyDeleteI'm in Poland.
Right now my favorite way to use solids is for four-patch blocks - two blocks the same color of solid, the other two of a print. This helps break up the busyness of the prints, which is super important since my hubby hates really busy things...and it's all about keeping him happy...or at least quiet! Thanks for the great giveaway. (I'm in the US).
ReplyDeleteI love showcasing textures on solids, like pintucks or smocking. I also have a quilt in the book Modern Log Cabin Quilting earmarked that uses all solids. I'd love to get that started!
ReplyDeleteHELLO! I'M QUILTING AWAY IN MONTANA!
ReplyDeleteSUCH A NEAT GIVEAWAY!
LOVE KONA WINE! JUST FINISHED USING IT AND A CREAM WITH TINY WINE FLOWERS FOR MY DAUGHTER A BEAUTIFUL TABLE RUNNER!
THANKS SO FOR SHARING A GENEROUS+SWEET GIVEAWAY!
msstitcher1214@yahoo.com
I love using Kona Ash for quilt bindings! Thank you for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI tend to use Snow more than any other color, since I make so many bee blocks using my own stash!
ReplyDeleteMy favourite Kona colour is White, as I use it the most. But I also really love Snow, Ash and Herb. I'm overseas.
ReplyDeleteHmm, that's a real tough one! I probably have to say a grey, like Kona Ash, because of its versatility, but of color colors, I think that Lagoon is beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway offer! I have a few beautiful colors of Kona solids from you, but to pick a favorite one?...too tough. I've been collecting grey prints so I want to use Kona solids with those in a quilt. Although pink is not my favorite color, I love the idea of some solid pinks with those greys. The solids show off quilting so nicely.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great giveaway! I don't think I could choose a favorite but I love pinks and grays and blues, oh I guess I love all colors! I definitely need more solids in my stash. Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI'm not a purple person and I think my favorite Kona color is Cerise. So it must be wonderful!
ReplyDeleteOooo it's way too hard to choose! I'd have to go with the pinks currently as I'm planning a baby girl nursery.. Love using solids in quilts, as borders and as bindings!
ReplyDeletei love all of their solid colors. i love using them in all kinds of things
ReplyDeleteMy favourite Kona is Spring. I love solids and use them all the time.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the chance of winning. I'm in the UK.
Kona is like water to my soul....
ReplyDeleteI use Kona White all the time, but I love Grass!
ReplyDeleteI could realllly use some solids. I love using them in my quilts to help balance it out.
ReplyDeleteIt changes all the time, but with the weather heating up, it's Glacier right now. I like working in solids, they're unforgiving, but keep you on your toes
ReplyDeleteRich red - I think it is the perfect red! thanks for the fun giveaway!
ReplyDeleteSo hard to choose - I love solids but love that orange schoolbus. What a fab giveaway! I love to do improv blocks with solids. Liberating.
ReplyDeleteUSA
Finger's crossed!
My favorite solid is Ruby!
ReplyDeleteUSA
I love Kona Glacier. Love to pair solids with miscellaneous prints to set off an aspect of the print that I love.
ReplyDeleteOMG!! I love Kona solids. At the moment I am working my way through the greens and soft pastel/turquoise colours. But my fav has to be Ash or Coal. So versatile. But then again, I do love the Windsor Blue... Tough to pick one favourite! I'm working on a solids quilt project ('Sew Into Solids' on flickr). I'm in the UK :)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite? Wow. As much as I love the neutrals that I use so much, I have to say that Lagoon has to be one of my favorites for bindings. Ever.
ReplyDeletewhoa! my favorite is pomegranate, but lagoon is a close second! thanks for the chance!
ReplyDeleteSo many favorites . . . cactus? Or maybe turquoise? Or corn? I love each of these and it's really hard to pick only one. Thanks for such a great giveaway! :)
ReplyDeletemy favorite is ash! ohh and a little mini solids quilt in the making in my brian..
ReplyDeleteI love all the shades of grey, but truthfully, the colour I use the most is snow. Thanks so much for this fantastic giveaway. I am in Canada-so an international entry.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite color? Hard to say, but probably coal, although ash, white and chocolate are staples in my stash! We use solids to unify the many donated fabrics we use in our ministry quilts - and Kona is the best!! Thanks for the chance to win!!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Kona solid is "Mango." I like to use solids next to prints to keep the prints "eye popping" so they don't get lost in a mess of fabric :)
ReplyDeleteI love Kona Ash. And I use solids for everything but mostly to help highlight my subject fabrics. Thanks for the great giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI love Snow for its all-purpose usefulness, and Cheddar for its yellow-orangey yumminess. Thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is Snow. I love using it with my 30's prints. I use them to give contrast and to highlight the prints in mybquilts. I would like to make a quilt from all solids soon. I've seen some really pretty ones lately. Thanks for the great giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI'm a snow girl too! We don't get much here in California though ;) this sure beats the giant tax bill we had this month! Thanks for an awesome giveaway ;)
ReplyDeleteI love Kona Pond. As I love anything in the blues & greens. :) This sounds like an awesome giveaway - as I need to start using more solids. :) Thanks for a chance to win. I'm in Canada! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm boring. I love Kona White or Snow. Although my friends are rapidly converting me to a love of Eggshell and Coal and possibly Slate.
ReplyDeleteWith friends like these, who needs a bank account?
I love anything purplish or deep pinkish in Kona solids. I also love Black as an accent for my other very bold and bright colors...and then there's always white or ash...I think you get my drift...I use them where ever I can find a spot!!
ReplyDeleteKona lagoon is my favorite and right now what I want to do is grab a spectrum of the blues and blue-greens and do something great with them and Salt Air's Fish Tail in Ocean as the only print.
ReplyDeletemy favourite kona colour is cerise!
ReplyDeleteI'm eyeing the Jade at the moment, so pretty! And I like to use them for backgrounds - it is scary to move away from white or gray as the background, but it always looks so good when it's finished. I'm in Canada.
ReplyDeleteCactus- it's unbelievably versatile and surprisingly goes with nearly everything, whether blend it in the background, frame other fabrics or as binding. love it!
ReplyDeleteI'm an international entry- thanks so much for this lovely refund idea, made me smile:)
ibs102(at)hotmail(dot)com
I think Snow & Ash are my favourites.
ReplyDeletebtw I'm in the UK
DeleteMy favorite is Lapis. So many choices though... I'd love to have a bigger stash of solids!
ReplyDeleteI don't have a favorite shade, but my go to solid color is gray. I love calming down a print filled work with a solid.
ReplyDeletefooshe1@yahoo.com
I love crocus; such a lovely shade of purple. And charcoal for a more neutral choice. I find I'm using solids in more projects recently, usually to coordinate with one of the colors in a print I'm using.
ReplyDeleteKona white, boring I know but I use it for borders and backs. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm in the UK.
I use Knoa Snow a lot, and when I can, I gravitate toward a very rich lime green, but I don't know the name of that one. They are all such good fabrics to work with!
ReplyDeletethanks fora chance to win! my favorite color of Kona is Bahama Blue! but how could ya not add white also? I guess I have 2 faves
ReplyDeleteMy favorite color is snow - I buy yards and yards of it. I now get a chance to win (thank you very much) because you commented on my blog about my look forward to getting something in the mail giveaway for my friend Peg. Now I will have to add you to my favorites!
ReplyDeleteI have 2 favorites, Kona coral and Kona Tangerine. Thanks for the giveaway. This would be awesome to win.
ReplyDeleteWell, let's see Konas or solids in general is basically mostly what I use for quilts. I love bright saturated colors like magenta and yellow. That being said I think they are best showcased against a clean white background. So, yeah, I buy alot of white!
ReplyDeleteThis is my kind of giveaway! Thanks!
If only the tax refund was as generous as this giveaway. I have just bought some Kona Ash to work with and I am so excited.

Oh my goodness, what a great giveaway! My favorite Kona is Snow. Boring, but useful :) thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteThis is great! I love all blue shades, but lagoon is probably my favorite. I love using prints, but solids are a great way to calm the item down a bit!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite kona color is Candy Green! I love using kona fabrics to make fabric flowers. :) I like using gradients in my creations, so unfortunately that means that I need a ridiculous amount of colors! :)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is probably Coal which sets off other colors around it beautifully. But it really is hard to pick just one. There are a whole range of blues and greens that make me salivate, not to mention the delicious red-orange-pink ranges. Did I mention the purples? :) I like to use solids for simplicity that's striking or as a background player that supports what's around it.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite kona color right now is tarragon. I love using solids as backgrounds and as bindings too! Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteOH my goodness--what an awesome giveaway! I of course use Kona Snow ALOT.....but my fav right now-is really any of the greens--but tarragon is one of my favs. I just can't seem to get enough green!
ReplyDeleteCandy Pink!!! My favorite pink ever!!!
ReplyDeleteWow! There are sooo many awesome colours! Everytime I look my favs change....Okay today I'll say Eggplant and Coal!
ReplyDeleteI'm in Australia!
