The Circus is in Town! Win some for yourself!
Laurie Wisbrun's designs have been a favorite of ours since she was creating them herself with Spoonflower. We've been in love with Tweets and now we're falling for the Circus – Urban Circus from Robert Kaufman. Giraffes and elephants, oh my!
The collection in two colorways - Earth and Spring - are now available in the shop. We'll also be giving away two fat quarter bundles of the entire collection! Visit our shop and pick a few Kona colors that you would use with these bundles and leave a comment telling us your picks. Entries will be closed at midnight Friday, Aug. 27 and winners chosen on Saturday. Good luck!

For the Earth colorway I'd use Orange and Peridot.
ReplyDeleteFor the Spring colorway I'd use Grass and Petal.
Thanks for a chance to win!
It's so hard to tell because monitor colors vary quite a bit, but I'm wondering if stone, coffee and/or one of the oranges would be fun with one of the color combinations?
ReplyDeleteI love the earth colourway and would mix in a bit of the Tangerine and Peridot with a sprinkle of Sable too...
ReplyDeleteI would try earth with wine and cyan!
ReplyDeleteI think I would pop some cerise in with the spring colorway :)
ReplyDeleteI love the baby pink and celery with the spring collection. Great give away, thank you!
ReplyDeleteooh, i can totally see cyan, grass and baby pink together with these fabrics. I so want to get my hands on some urban circus :)
ReplyDeletefor the pink set I'm thinking the Canary, Peridot, Bright Pink & maybe Cactus would be great colors to add!
ReplyDeleteAnd for the green/blue set I would probably go with the I'm Blue for Greens set, either the orange or school bus and sable.
it's hard to tell on the computer which colors match correctly so that's my best guess! =)

gah! I love love love these. I think I would use white. Is that boring? ... Okay, if I was going to use MORE colour, I would use stone ... hahaha. There is so much fun colour already, I would just like neutrals so you didn't lose the "pop".
ReplyDeleteI'm a pink/green lover so would definitely go baby pink and cactus :)
ReplyDeleteOrange and Coffee for the Earth collections; Petal Pink for the Spring. What fun fabrics! Thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteI would probably go for neutrals as well... stone maybe? Orange could be fun too!

ReplyDeleteI'd love to put the Spring colorway with some Medium Gray as a background.
-Liz J.
I think I would combine both sets with kona grass because they have so much green in it that needs to be accentuated. Plus some peony for the spring set and some sky with the earth (or maybe canary and paprika). I think they would work really well together, at least on my screen they do ;)
ReplyDeletei'm thinkin' maybe some peridot or grass- i really like the greens!
ReplyDeleteI think Bright Pink, School Bus, Grass and Aqua would probably pair nicely.
ReplyDeleteThanks for a great giveaway!

ReplyDeleteI would choose grass, orange, cyan, and white for the Earth colorway. and I would use peridot, canary, a bit of berry, and white for the Spring colorway. Thinking of the possibilities for both colorways, what to make.....

ReplyDeleteI'd have to go with the I'm Blue for Greens pack, a couple of those colors would definitely work and it doesn't hurt to have extra :)
ReplyDeleteI love the blue/green colourway...and I'd be in heaven if I could use Aqua and Schoolbus Orange along with some plain old white. Thanks for the great chance to win.

ReplyDeleteFrom your shop, I think Cyan, Orange and Bright Pink would work well. But I would love to see Kona's Lagoon with it as well.
ReplyDeleteboodybabies [at] comcast [dot] net
I would use Canary and Peridot Kona Solids with this great line of Urban Circus!
ReplyDeleteI think I might try it with grass and coffee, but part of the fun of this line is that you could go back and forth forever because there are so many great colors!

ReplyDeleteLove this! I would use the white or stone I think to show off the beautiful colors of these fabrics. I would use the white and stone so hopefully the colors in the fabric would pop out. THANKS! So cute.
ReplyDeleteI'd use anything out of the Earth colorway. Along with some white. These are such great colors in the collection.
ReplyDeleteGrass and Canary would be great with either colorway!
ReplyDeleteI would pick anything from the earth colorway. Thanks for the giveaway! :)
ReplyDeleteI would love to use 'In the Pink (and Purple) 7 Konas Fat Quarter Pack' with the spring colorway!
ReplyDeleteOrange for sure. Maybe canary. A pinch of coffee too. Really, there are so many options when you're working with prints are bright and wonderful as Urban circus!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win! I would pick Orange (my favorite flavor 8-), Canary, and Peridot.

ReplyDeleteI am really bad at matching colors online but it looks like Kona School bus would go nicely with the earth colorway.

coal, cactus, and natural!
ReplyDeleteUrban Circus Earth with a splash of Kona Tangerine and Peridot and Sable.. :)
ReplyDeleteWould go with deeper colours to coordinate with already existing colours - perhaps peridot and tangerine. Yum!
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to tell without matching them up in natural light but I think I'd go with grass, banana, charcoal and/or white...
ReplyDeleteI have a hard time matching up fabrics even in person! I think the "I'm Blue for Greens" would match up nicely. Maybe Surf? Definitely Snow White cause I love a sharp contrast with such crisp prints.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win.
I was thinking grass (or cactus) and petal. But that's a quick glance.. would probably change my mind 40 times before actually picking the final colors.

Lovin' Urban Circus Earth. I would use a mix of white with Kona Sable to let those circus colors POP!
ReplyDelete...hard to tell on the monitor. But you have a "Kona U Pick" in your store - 3 colors that I think would match - any of the 3. That would be me choice.
ReplyDeletejsample@pixius.net
Decisions, decisions....I LOVE Urban Circus the more I look at it and dream...and boy did I have a really hard time even coming close to selecting some solids to match when I don't have them right next to each other on the screen.
ReplyDeleteI love both colorways for different reasons and different places and people in my life!
I also love strong contrasts so I would go strong and dark most likely so that the colors would pop or with stone (earth) or snow/ (spring) for a lighter effect.
Earth choices: coffee, peridot, school bus, paprika, amber, leaf
Spring choices: sable, cyan, grass, canary, sky, cactus,
Thanks so much for this great giveaway opportunity!
For the earth collection I would use orange, my new favorite color. For the spring collection I would use petal, grass and white because I love the pink/green color combination.
ReplyDeleteI would use the Kona orange for the earth collection, and see if I couldn't sneak in teeny weeny embroidered purple Clemson tiger paw either in one of the orange circles, or border/sashings. For the spring I would use the green or peridot. Thank you for this generous giveaway. Ya can't help but smile when you look at these fabrics!
